3 things to know about your Vagina, Skin and Intestines

Our bodies naturally have a way of protecting themselves from germs and fighting infections. When you understand how the immune system of your body works, you can work hand in hand with it.

You won't unknowingly do anything to hurt the process. You should know the following things about your vagina, skin, and intestines:

1. The v*ginal mucus and chemicals coexist but have different functions in the urethra, and v*ginal secretions are secreted to protect them. Women who always use soap to wash their vaginas should beware.

There are friendly bacteria in your v*gina that are there to protect it. According to Healthline, when you use those antiseptic soaps to kill these friendly bacteria, you are doing yourself harm.

That's why you get infected in your v*gina. This doesn't mean you shouldn't be hygienic. You can use water, but don't use harsh soaps like antiseptics or scented soaps to wash your v*gina.

There are friendly bacteria in your v*gina that functions as part of your innate immunity. All the secretions and mucus in your female external reproductive organs are meant to protect them from infection. When it's dry, it becomes susceptible to infection.

2. Our skin is the largest organ in our body. Do you know that your skin has about 15 layers? This is to ensure that the surface of our bodies is protected and germs don't penetrate it.

These 15 layers of the skin surface are serviced by the sebaceous gland. Your sweat glands produce bacteria-killing chemicals. Even in your sweat, there are antibiotics there, so when you sweat, the chemicals that come out of your body kill bacteria.
